Corrections
Every article here rests on named sources with verbatim quotes. When an error of fact turns up after publication, found by us or shown to us by a reader, the text gets corrected, and the correction gets logged on this page: the date, what was wrong, and what it says now.

An editing pass shortened the 1960 Hollingsworth quote in all four language versions; in the English and Polish ones it cut the comparison the claim rests on. The same pass replaced the verbatim Russian wording of the HSE norms with a summary in the English version. Both quotes are back to their sources word for word. The English version also carried a hard figure, "sixty-six years", where the other three read "more than six decades"; it now matches them.
